Ingredients

  • Potato- 1 Large Size
  • Onion- 2 Medium Size
  • Tomato- 1 Medium Size
  • Green Peas (Matar)- 1 Small Bowl
  • Cumin Seeds (Jeera)- 1 tablespoon
  • Whole Spices (Khade Masale)- 1 Tbsp
  • Bay Leaf (Tej Patta)- 1-2 Pieces
  • Oil- 2 Large Tablespoon
  • Cauliflower Florets (Phool Gobhi)- 1 Medium Size Bowl
  • Rice- 1 ½ Cup 
  • Cumin Powder (Jeera Powder)- 1 Tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder (Laal Mirchi Powder)- 1 Tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder)- 1 Tbsp
  • Coriander Powder (Dhaniya Powder)- 1 Tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves- 1 Small Bowl
  • Salt- 1-2 Tablespoon
  • Water- 3 Cups

STEP-1
Prepare the Rice and Vegetables for Veg Pulao Recipe

Friends, to make Veg Pulao, first of all we will wash the rice well and soak it for half an hour. Now while the rice is soaking, we will cut the veggies that we will put in the Veg Pulao into medium size pieces. So here we have taken 1 large size potato, 2 medium size onions, 1 medium size tomato, 1 small bowl of peas, 1 Tablespoon cumin powder, 1 Tbsp whole spices, 2 bay leaves and cauliflower in 1 medium size bowl.

STEP-2
Cook the Spices and Onions to Make tasty Veg Pulao

Now, we will put the pan on the gas and put 2 large tablespoons of oil in it. Now, as soon as the oil becomes hot, we will reduce the flame of the gas and put 1 tablespoon of cumin seeds in it and also add one spoon of whole spices. Guys, as soon as the whole spices become hot, we will put onions in it and reduce the flame of the gas to medium.

Add and Saute Vegetables to Make Vegetable Pulao

Friends, after 2 minutes of adding onions, we will add green peas, cauliflower and potatoes to it. Now as soon as our vegetables are lightly fried, we will add tomatoes to it and cook them well too.

Add Spices and Cook with Vegetables

Guys, now we will add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and mix it well and cook it well along with the vegetables.

Add Rice, Water, and Salt, and Cook the Vegetable Pulao

Now after this we will add rice in it which we had soaked half an hour ago. And now we will add 3 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of salt in it. Now turn the flame of the gas to high and cover the rice and cook it well. You can also add 1 tablespoon ghee over it which will also enhance the taste of the dish. If you don’t like ghee you can skip it.

STEP-6
Cook the Rice on Low Flame

Friends, as soon as the rice soaks the water, we will turn the gas flame to low. Now we will cook the rice on low flame for 3-4 minutes and then turn off the gas flame.
