- Green Chilli – 2-3 Pieces
- Whole Spices (Khade Masale) – 1 Tablespoon
- Coriander Leaves – 1 Small Bowl
- Oil – 3-4 Tablespoons
- Ginger – 2 Inches
- Garlic – 8-10 Cloves
- Salt – 1-2 Tablespoons or as per requirement
- Coriander Powder – 1 Tablespoon
- Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tablespoon
- Turmeric Powder – 1 Tablespoon
- Water – 2-3 Cups
- Dried Fenugreek Leaves (Kasuri Methi) – 1 Small Bowl
- Cottage Cheese (Paneer) – 200 Grams
STEP-1
Matar Paneer Recipe:
Grinding Tomatoes, Onions, and Green Chillies

Friends, to make Matar Paneer, first of all we will grind tomatoes, onions and green chillies together in a mixer. Now when our tomatoes and onions are grinded well, we will take them out in a bowl and put a pan on the gas and put about 3 to 4 tablespoons of oil in it.

Sauteing Spices and Ginger-Garlic Paste for Matar Paneer Recipe

Now as soon as our oil gets heated properly, we will add our whole spices seasoning to it. Friends, now as soon as our whole spices seasoning is done, we will add the coarsely ground ginger garlic paste here. If you want, you can also use fine ginger garlic paste in it.

When our ginger and garlic are roasted well, we will add the mixed paste of grinded tomatoes, onions and green chillies in it and cook everything on medium to low flame till it is cooked well.

Now, till our tomatoes and onions are cooked well, we will prepare the masala in a bowl. So friends, for making the masala we will use simple spices that are used daily at home. Guys, here we will take 1 tablespoon Red Chilli Powder, 1 tablespoon Coriander Powder and 1 tablespoon Turmeric Powder and add 3-4 tablespoons of water in it and mix it well.

Now, when our paste starts releasing oil then we will understand that our grinded paste has been cooked well so now we will add the spices which we had prepared by mixing them in a bowl and cook it well.

Now that our spices are cooked properly, we will add peas and cook them for 10-15 minutes. Friends, to cook peas properly, you can add almost a glass of water here so that peas also get mixed well in the spices.

If our peas are cooked well then we will add about a small bowl of Kasuri Methi in it and cook it well for one to two minutes. Friends, the taste of Kasuri Methi is very delicious in peas paneer. Friends, now when our gravy is ready properly, we will put paneer cut into medium size cubes while running the gas on medium flame and mix it well in the gravy. Now, we will cook it for 5-6 minutes by keeping the gas on medium flame and then add coriander leaves in it and mix it well and turn off the flame of the gas.
