- Matar (Boiled White Peas) – 1 large bowl
- Green Chillies – 6–7 pieces
- Garlic Cloves – 5 pieces
- Ginger – 2–3 inches
- Mint Leaves – 10–15 leaves
- Coriander Leaves – 10 grams
- White Salt – 1 tablespoon
- Onions – 3 medium-sized
- Tomato – 1 medium-sized
- Tamarind Pulp – 1 small bowl
- Garam Masala – 1 tablespoon
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tablespoon
- Black Salt – 1 tablespoon
- Chilli Flakes – 1 tablespoon
- Butter – 1 tablespoon
STEP-1
Soak & Boil the Peas For Matar Kulcha Recipe

Friends, to make tasty matar kulcha we will take peas in a large size bowl and put 1 to 1 ½ glass of water in it and keep it soaked for 7-8 hours. So now when our peas are soaked well, we will put them in a pressure cooker and put 1 to 1 1⁄2 glass of water in it. Friends, now along with that we will put 1 Tbsp salt and 1 Tbsp oil in it and whistle it for 4-5 times.

Prepare the Spicy Green Chutney For Tasty Matar Kulcha

Friends, now while the peas for matar kulcha recipe are boiling in the pressure cooker, we will make chutney, here we will take 5 pieces of garlic, 4 pieces of green chilli, 1 small Tbsp coriander leaves, 10-15 mint leaves, 1 inch ginger and 1 Tbsp salt and after putting all these in a mixer jar we will make a fine paste.

Soak Tamarind & Prep the Masala Mix For Kulcha Matar Recipe

Friends, now when our chutney for tasty kulcha matar is ready, we will keep the tamarind (imli) here to soak for 10-15 minutes. Now, till the tamarind is soaked, we will finely chop 3 medium sized onions, 1 medium sized tomato, 1-2 inch ginger and 4 green chillies. Now, after finely chopping the tomatoes and onions, we will prepare the spices to be used in the matar kulcha. So see, here we have kept 1 Tbsp Garam Masala, 1 Tbsp Black Salt, 1 Tbsp Chilli Flakes and 1 Tbsp cumin.
STEP-4
Mix Chutney, Veggies & Masalas into the Boiled Matar

Friends, now the peas have also been boiled well here, so we will take them out and keep them in a vessel and then put chutney, finely chopped green chillies, tomatoes and onions in it. Friends, we will put half of the onion that we had chopped here. Now we will add spices one by one, so here we have separated 1 Tbsp Garam Masala, 1 Tbsp chilli flakes, 1 Tbsp black salt and tamarind pulp and added its water. Friends, now after putting all the spices, we will mix them all well.

Add A Tasty Tadka To The Matar To Make Tasty Kulcha Matar

So friends, now we will put the pan on the gas and put one tbsp of butter in it. We’ll add cumin seeds to the butter as soon as it melts. After adding cumin seeds, we will add finely chopped ginger to it and mix it well. Friends, now when the color of ginger changes slightly, we will add onion to it and cook it till it becomes light brown. Friends, we do not have to cook ginger and onion too much here, so as soon as the color of onion changes slightly, we will add peas to it and mix everything well and cook it for 5-6 minutes on low medium flame.
